Printed Books

Physical books are sent to your delivery address by courier. Orders made by schools or childcare services can order with a 14-day right of return policy to make inspection easy.

  • Some print books come with the right to be shared and photocopied within your school.  
  • Other print books have restricted use, which means you only have the right to copy 10% of the book.  In this case, you do not have the right to copy and share with your colleagues. They will need to buy their own copy.


Please note that due to COVID-19 there are delays in shipping times. We endeavour to ship your order within 48 hours once placed, and delivery times are expected to be within 5-10 working days.


If you are sure of your purchase and urgently need the resource, an ebook version is available and will give you immediate access.

VitalSource is an online bookshelf program eReader. The VitalSource program can be used in your browser or installed as an app on your computer or device.


VitalSource ebook access links are delivered instantly with your order confirmation and confirmation email. These access links are also stored in your Essential Resources Filebox.


VitalSource ebooks are for a single user. They are designed to be read on a computer or device, having restricted printing (10% of the book).  Copyright obligations don't allow sharing of the book with colleagues however it has inbuilt functionality to subscribe to colleagues, classmates or instructors notes to view in your own eBook.

A PDF eBook is an electronic version of an Essential Resources print book. The PDF file format can be opened in most computer devices using a PDF reader such as Adobe, Google Drive, or by default will open with your web browser like Chrome, Firefox and Safari have integrated PDF readers.

When you order these books they will be delivered instantly with download links in your order confirmation and order confirmation email. You can also download them from your filebox by signing into your Essential Resources account.
